Jessica is a digital media strategist and editor based in Toronto. Her primary verticals include business, finance consumer trends and the Canadian innovation economy. She's currently working as an Associate Editor with LowestRates.ca, Canada's largest rate comparison website. During her time here, she's led several high profile projects which have generated national media coverage. She's appeared as a financial expert on CTV News, Radio NL and CJAD. Previously, she spent two and a half years as a National Online Journalist with Globalnews.ca, where she covered global business and economic trends and frequently discussed her stories on Corus radio affiliates.
Jessica has been a journalist since the age of 15, when she talked the editors of a local paper into giving her a monthly column. Since then, her work has been seen in outlets like Global News, LowesRates.ca, Techvibes, MobileSyrup, and the Financial Post, among others. In 2017, she graduated from the Ryerson School of Journalism, where she specialized in multimedia journalism. In the summer of 2020, she'll complete her Masters of Business Administration (MBA) at Ryerson’s Ted Rogers School of Management.
Throughout her career, Jessica has worked in a wide variety of digital mediums. Before joining LowestRates.ca as an editor and strategist, Jessica worked on the national digital breaking news desk at Global, News. Previously, she spearheaded the Business section for Canada’s largest technology news site, MobileSyrup.com. She continues to be fascinated by finance, technology, digital policy, and the different forces at work in the market today.
